A Neighbourhood Plan for Ringmer
This web page shows the latest version of "Ringmer to 2030", the new Neighbourhood Plan for Ringmer. This covers the whole of Ringmer parish.
When completed and approved, "Ringmer to 2030" will, under the Localism Act (2011) form part of the Lewes District Council Planning Framework that will regulate future development in Ringmer to the year 2030.
Development of the Neighbourhood Plan has been led by Ringmer Parish Council's Planning Committee (which includes all Ringmer's parish councillors), and is based on the views of stakeholders including all Ringmer residents, people who work in Ringmer and those who use the business, social and leisure facilities available in Ringmer.
At its July meeting Ringmer Parish Council Planning Committee considered the comments received during the Regulation 14 consultation and approved the responses to those comments proposed by the Steering Group. The completion of agreed minor amendments and necessary associated documentation was delegated to the Neighbourhood Plan Drafting Group. The revised Neighbourhood Plan has now been submitted to Lewes District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority, who are responsible for the Regulation 16 consultation.
After a referendum was held on the 12 November 2015 in Ringmer, the Neighbourhood Plan was voted to be adopted by 1444 votes against 128 votes.
The Declaration of Result of Poll is shown at the bottom of the page.
The referendum ready Neighbourhood Plan is presented below. The Plan is accompanied by 6 appendices, appendix 1 to appendix 6.
